Liam Lawson made history in the Red Bull fold by becoming the fastest driver promoted from the junior team to the main team.
The New Zealander was announced as Max Verstappen's new teammate for the 2025 season, replacing Sergio Perez after a disastrous 2024 season marked by crashes and underperformance.
Liam Lawson, 22, made his Formula 1 debut in 2023, replacing the injured Daniel Ricciardo at Zandvoort, before once again taking over for the Australian in the final six rounds of the 2024 season.

With only 11 Grands Prix to his name, the New Zealander breaks the record for early access to Red Bull as driver of the sister team, an unprecedented feat among the six previously promoted drivers, including Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.
Despite internal competition with Yuki Tsunoda, Liam Lawson was able to convince Helmut Marko and all of Red Bull's management thanks to solid performances.
