It is now a well-established tradition in the paddock for many years: the vote of the team directors to designate the best drivers of the season has delivered its verdict. This allows all team bosses to give – via secret ballot – their top 10 for the entire season. Once this is done, each driver receives points according to the scale used within the framework of the Grands Prix and the addition of the points awarded by all those responsible gives a ranking.
For the fourth year in a row, Max Verstappen came first in the votes, making it big for the first time since he collected 250 points, which means that he was placed in the lead by all ten directors. The Dutchman won his fourth world title this season, ahead of Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, who complete the top 3 with 178 and 121 points respectively. The top 7 is also made up of the seven winning drivers of the season since Oscar Piastri, Carlos Sainz, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton follow next.
Nico Hülkenberg is the first non-winning driver in this ranking, in eighth place, ahead of Fernando Alonso and Pierre Gasly. This means that nine of the ten members of the top 10 in the drivers' standings for the season are represented, the only exception being Sergio Pérez, eighth in the world championship but not present in this top 10.
