Vasseur’s superb gift to Sainz for his departure

The end of a beautiful story! Ferrari driver since 2021, Carlos Sainz bid farewell to the Italian team this season by finishing in second place in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, in fifth place in the world championship. Next year, the 30-year-old Spaniard has already found his new challenge, he has signed with Williams. But before finally removing the famous red outfit, he was entitled to a nice gift from the Scuderia.

Indeed, he had an appointment near Fiorano for a final lap of the track with his father at the wheel of a Ferrari F-75. A superb tribute which was imagined by Frédéric Vasseur, as revealed by journalist Giuliano Duchessa. We learn that Sainz had not asked for anything and that it was the French boss of the team who submitted this idea. In addition, Charles Leclerc insisted on being there even though his team did not oblige him. Beautiful, well-deserved farewells!
