Formula 1 | Verstappen 'won't even watch' post-season testing

Max Verstappen will be one of the favorites in Abu Dhabi this weekend, not only because he is the reigning four-time world champion and winner of the most recent race in Qatar, but also because he is the winner of all four latest editions of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

“Qatar was an exciting race and it felt good to win again. The car was much nicer to drive and the team put in a great performance.” declared the four-time world champion.

“We are coming to the last race of the season and Abu Dhabi always brings back good memories. It has been a long season and we are ready to take some rest and spend some quality time at home with our family and friends .”

“The team has worked incredibly hard this season and everyone deserves a break to relax once the season is over. It would be great to finish the season strong and try to get a victory here.”

On the other hand, the Dutchman is happy not to take part in the post-season test, and he readily admits that he will not be interested in it: “No, I've been avoiding it for a while. I won't even look. I wish them luck.”

Sergio Pérez could compete in his last race in the team's colors: “Before I arrive in Abu Dhabi, it is important for me to have a very good last race of the season. I owe the team and myself a strong and complete performance throughout the weekend.”

“We have seen improvements week on week recently and the pace is there, now we have to put it in place. Everything was going so well in Qatar and the podium was in our sights.”

“It's frustrating for everyone that we haven't been able to turn this positive position into something more. The goal in Abu Dhabi will be to erase this disappointment. I've had an up-and-down season and I will give everything I have to finish it in style.”
