Joined this weekend by Max Verstappen as quadruple F1 world champion, Sebastian Vettel announced a rather unusual reconversion. Living on a farm in Switzerland with his family, he returned to school to obtain a degree. If this does not allow him to be a farmer, he can still start: “I will be able to run my own business”he said in a handover ceremony in Braunschweig (Germany). “I am completing training in the field of agriculture”he continued.

Very invested in the environment too, he notably installed beehives around the Suzuka circuit during the last Japanese Grand Prix. This year in São Paulo, Brazil, he also collected trash around the Interlagos circuit. “I am interested in agriculture because as an athlete I am interested in what I need to eat to be in shape, in what I can do to eat healthier and get more out of my body”he declared in 2021.

The instigator of the “Race without Trace” movement, encouraging the use of more alternative fuels, honored Vettel this weekend, receiving the LupoLeo award, rewarding his commitment to the environment. The former driver even admitted, moved, that the LupoLeo prize meant much more than a victory in F1.
