Has decided to reconsider Andretti's candidacy, almost a year after refusing it? It's a real trend as the big circus takes on the Las Vegas Grand Prix this weekend. According to various sources including RacingNews365, Formula 1 is finally considering opening its doors to an 11th team in 2026.

An agreement was even reached with Andretti, who joined forces from the start with General Motors via his manufacturer Cadillac. It would then remain to define the identity of the team because GM would have been asked to become more involved to strengthen the application file.

The next few weeks could therefore prove crucial for the American tandem which would finally reach the goal after so much effort. While waiting for the final decision which will be made by the governing bodies of the premier category, Andretti does not want to be taken by surprise and is already preparing his future.

From junior to senior, Andretti has opened precisely 31 positions, all based at Silverstone. These concern all levels of the team, from engineers to mechanics to positions linked to marketing. It remains to be seen what will happen with the candidacy, but it seems on track to have a favorable outcome. To be continued…
