Formula 1 | Williams must 'bounce back' after 'one of the toughest weekends'

Williams had a disastrous weekend in Brazil, with the disappointment of a blank result while the FW46s were performing well, and almost $3 million in damage. Alex Albon wants to forget this disappointment this weekend in Las Vegas.

“It’s no surprise that the last three weeks have been difficult for the team, but there are plenty of positives we can take from Brazil and carry over to the remaining three races, starting in Vegas.” Albon explained.

“We have an incredible opportunity to come back strong in Vegas and bounce back from one of the toughest weekends we've had at Williams since I've been here.”

“We can show the whole world and our rivals how strong our team is and what we are capable of, not only in the next three races, but also in the future.”

“I'm more motivated than ever; I want to return the favor to this team and thank them for their hard work in fighting for points in Vegas. This will be our best opportunity to do that, so let's see what we can do.”

Franco Colapinto is on the same wavelength as his teammate before his debut in Nevada: “Brazil was a difficult moment for the team and it’s not what we hoped for, but that’s part of motorsport.”

“There are a lot of takeaways from this weekend that not only help me grow as a driver but also as a person. Now it’s time to show our resilience and bounce back together in the final three races of the season.”

“Everyone at the factory has made a huge effort in pushing as hard as possible to ensure we are in the best possible position to finish the season. I'm only six races in, but I have a big confidence in this team and in the people around me.”

“We have three races left and plenty of opportunities to fight for points, starting with Vegas. We will continue to push as hard as we can until the checkered flag in Abu Dhabi, because anything is possible.”

Sven Smeets, Williams sporting director, salutes his troops for preparing for the Las Vegas GP despite the colossal amount of work after Interlagos: “Brazil was one of the toughest weekends we have had.”

“The team has shown immense resilience and teamwork over these last few weeks. Everyone has worked day and night to put us in a good position for the final three races of the season. “

“It shows what this team is capable of. We are looking forward to racing in Las Vegas, where we should be competitive. It is a circuit that offers a lot of opportunities and we are sure that both drivers will be very motivated to fight for points.”

On the sidelines of the third American race of the season, Williams extended its partnership with Duracell, which adorns the chimney of the team's single-seaters and represents a battery. The team's commercial director welcomed it.

“Williams is proud to have Duracell fueling our journey back to 2025 and beyond as we continue to build lasting relationships with industry-leading brands that share our vision and values.”

“This partnership has resulted in some memorable moments and an iconic brand that has become a fan favorite on our cars, and we look forward to the next chapter to continue the momentum.”
