Amazing association in F1, when Alpine and Minecraft work together

Alpine has been a partner of Microsoft for some time, a collaboration which leads to various communications highlighting certain products from the American giant. And recently, Minecraft has entered the dance, through an operation intended to promote gender diversity.

Thus, the two partners are developing a Minecraft Education world as part of Race into STEM. This mini-game features members of the engineering team offering an immersion into the many departments making up a Formula 1 team. In addition, one was invited to Enstone to present the global launch.

The Race into STEM program aims to promote gender diversity in the world of motorsport and provide highly educational content to all young people through specially organized events and activations as part of the partnership between Alpine and Microsoft. Several have already taken place in Mexico City, London, Melbourne as well as , all with the aim of engaging and inspiring young women towards STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and associated careers .

The Minecraft Education Race into STEM world represents a new milestone achieved by the team and Microsoft. The game takes place in a stunning 8-bit recreation of the BWT Alpine Formula One Team factory in Enstone, located in Oxfordshire (UK). Players can explore the facilities and learn all about creating and operating a modern Formula 1 car.

They can also meet colleagues explaining their jobs in the team and the key concepts of single-seaters. Members of management, including Dalia Ramos Guerra, construction and testing manager, and Gemma Lang, financial director, will help them realize the importance of their role in Formula 1.

Game activities include testing a car in a wind tunnel or taking part in a pit stop, among others.

So far, more than a hundred students have participated in the events organized and the Race into STEM digital platform has recorded more than 80,000 visits from 99 countries. Available for free online and worldwide, it includes a curriculum created by FIA Girls on Track UK as well as videos from BWT Alpine Formula One Team employees, some of which appear in the mini-game.

The team invited Middle Barton Primary School in Enstone so pupils could get their first taste of the new Minecraft Education world before an exclusive factory tour. The students were able to learn from the collaborators presented in the game during a question-and-answer session, including Dalia, Gemma and aerodynamicist Paula Garcia Ruiz.
