María Catarineu, manager of Franco Colapinto, has spoken about the future of his driver who does not have a starting contract in F1 for next season.
Impressive since his arrival at Williams, Franco Colapinto is now at the center of speculation around his future.
At first glance, the situation seems complex, with all contracts signed for the 2025 season, apart from in the Red Bull clan where VCARB has yet to officially announce Yuki Tsunoda's teammate.
But the performances of Franco Colapinto, accompanied by the enthusiasm of many Argentine fans and sponsors, allow us to still believe in a start in a team in 2025. Recently, rumors involving the Red Bull clan and even Alpine have appeared.
María Catarineu, Franco Colapinto's manager, gave news regarding the future of her protégé, affirming however that nothing has yet been decided for 2025.
“I want to deny the rumors that something has been signed for next year,” she said in an interview with Campeones. “We are still with Williams at the moment.”
“Williams' results are improving,” continues Catarineu. “I know their intention is to seek the best solution for Franco in the future. Williams are the first to know that Franco deserves to stay in F1 and they are trying to make that happen. But nothing has been signed and I can't confirm anything. We would like to stay with Williams, but they already have their contracts. They are therefore looking for the best structure to keep Franco in F1, in the best possible way for Franco and for Williams. But for now, it doesn’t seem possible to stay at Williams in 2025.”

How likely is it to see Colapinto in F1 in 2025?
Regarding potential discussions with Red Bull, María Catarineu, Franco Colapinto's manager, preferred to leave it to Williams to respond on this subject.
“Williams would have to confirm this. I know that James [Vowles] has told multiple media outlets that he is in talks with multiple teams. It's Williams who should say which teams they negotiate with. It is clear that many scenarios are being developed. But what people need to know is that there is a strong desire from many parties for Franco to continue in F1 in 2025. I think the public wants it, F1 itself wants it and that Williams wants it too because they want the best for him.”
Then asked about the probability, on a scale of 1 to 10, of seeing Franco Colapinto in F1 in 2025, María Catarineu replied: “20”.
“I think when so many people put so much intention into making something happen, it would only be fair if it finally happened.”she concluded.
