Aston Martin announces Dan Fallows will no longer be technical director

Aston Martin technical director Dan Fallows to step down “from November”, the British team made official this Tuesday.

While the recruitment of Adrian Newey was announced a few weeks ago, Aston Martin's technical department continues to evolve with the departure of Dan Fallows this November. It is however specified that Fallows “will remain within the group.”

“Since working at Aston Martin, I have had the joy and privilege of guiding the technical team in their quest for race and championship victories,” reacted Dan Fallows. “It’s time for me to hand over the baton, but I look forward to seeing the team’s future successes, which I’m sure will soon come.”

Andy Cowell, recently arrived as CEO of the group, also thanked Dan Fallows and more particularly his involvement in the good performance of the team at the start of the 2023 season.

I would like to thank Dan for his contribution to Aston Martin over the last two years,” Cowell said. “Dan led the team to AMR23 success with eight podium finishes last season.”

After a thunderous start to the 2023 season, Aston Martin's performances have since been far from living up to the ambitions of the project led by Lawrence Stroll, with in particular developments which are struggling to bear fruit on the track. The British team is currently in fifth place among manufacturers with only 86 points scored, far from the 280 units posted at the end of 2023.
