Dana White, controversial boss of the UFC, the most powerful MMA league in the world, was alongside Donald Trump on Tuesday evening, while the Republican was already enjoying his victory in the American presidential elections.
A great supporter of Donald Trump, Dana White was one of the personalities present on stage Tuesday evening alongside the Republican candidate, just elected 47th President of the United States. Alongside Trump but also Elon Musk, boss of the social network thought of the American statesman.
“No one deserves this more than their family, applauded Dana White. We couldn't stop him. He keeps moving forward, he doesn't give up. He is the most resilient and hardworking man I have ever met in my life. The people in his family are amazing. It's karma, ladies and gentlemen. He deserves it. His family deserves it.” Trump had been a strong supporter of the UFC in 2001, when White had just taken over and the organization was in dire straits.
White, 55, is a controversial executive in sports. Author of homophobic comments in the past and long resistant to the development of women's sport, he was filmed on New Year's Eve 2023 slapping his wife in a nightclub. He publicly apologized two days later. French-Cameroonian fighter Francis Ngannou, a former UFC star, left the organization in January 2023 and called White a “tyrant”deploring the working conditions of fighters within the UFC.
