The WTT Champions in Frankfurt is the last stop on the world circuit, before the Finals scheduled for the end of the month. And as expected, Félix Lebrun did not miss his chance to give us a headache from the first round.
After Montpellier, Félix Lebrun does it again
A week after his odious coronation at the WTT Champions in Montpellier, and just a few minutes after the ultimate betrayal inflicted by Alpine, Félix Lebrun played his first round at the WTT Champions in Frankfurt. And guess who his opponent was? Simon Gauzy of course. As in Montpellier, the Frenchman inherited the younger Lebrun, for his greatest happiness as one can imagine. In Montpellier, Gauzy did not see the light of day, losing 3-0. But in Germany, the latter gave Felix a hard time.
And for good reason, this time it took four sets for Lebrun to gently exclude him from the tournament. After a first round dominated head and shoulders (11-3), Simon got back to the score (8-11). SO MAYBE. But this hope will last a few minutes, the time to lose the last two sets (12-10, 11-8). Félix Lebrun qualified for the round of 16 of the tournament, when Simon Gauzy recorded his fourth consecutive defeat. You will have understood, we prefer the route of the second.
In case we haven't understood Félix's ambitions, he reveals them to us directly.
“I will try to win again, like in Montpellier, but it will be very difficult” Félix Lebrun
