The general assembly of the “Cyclotouristes Montéchois” was held this Friday at the Laurier hall in Montech in the presence of the Secretary of the Departmental Committee (Codep) of the French Federation of Cyclotourism (FFCT). After thanking the club's supporters and reporting on the activities of the past season, co-president Claude Chochon, on behalf of the office, presented the program for the year 2025.
At the departmental level, around twenty events are planned in 2025. After three years of existence, the “Bike ride” activity has seen the number of participants decrease. “We will see with those interested in what form this Cycling practice can continue” specifies Claude Chochon. On the youth side, Montech has been selected to host the Departmental Road Education Competition in 2025 for cyclists aged 8 to 12.
In 2025, demonstrations will start in February. The Montech club will host, on Sunday March 30, the departmental road education competition. “The “Birade” on Sunday June 8, 2025 will be titled “Birade Yves Pinsard” in homage to the man who created and animated our club since the beginning of the 2000s” continues the co-president.
