LE FIGARO. – What, in your opinion, unites Corsica, the Angevin region, Trégor and Poitou ? Why do you consider “ province » as the most beautiful word in the French language ?
THOMAS MORALES. – The province is the backbone of our country, both our cultural biotope and our mental setting. The province is also childhood and memories, therefore our chosen land and our inner refuge. We are all provincials. Let us never forget it! Even when we have left it a long time ago and migrated to suffocating metropolises, in the sound and fury of abstruse fashions, this province beats within us. She obliges us. She warns us.
