From the Paris Games, spectators will remember the sporting exploits, but also the more personal stories. Tara Davis and Hunter Woodhall have made hearts flutter around the world. Married in the city, Tara Davis and Hunter Woodhall share the same passion for athletics. Gold medalist at the Olympic competition in early August, the long jump specialist is now cheering on her husband who is competing in the Paralympic 400m final.

“Oh my God, baby, you’re an Olympic champion!” Those were the words Hunter Woodhall used when his wife Tara Davis became the Olympic long jump champion on August 8 at the Stade de France. The image went around the world: the two athletes hugging for a long time, beaming with happiness, after their victory. “I just looked into her eyes and I didn’t know where I was. I almost fainted for a second and that made it even more special,” the gold medalist also told NBC.

These two American athletes are the couple of the Paris Games. Particularly close, they bring their love story to life for millions of followers on social networks by staging their daily lives. In a video published on TikTok a few hours after his wife’s final, Hunter Woodhall has fun wearing his gold medal. “It suits you,” she replies with a laugh.
