The Finisterian Victor Guernalec (Bourg-en-Bresse Ain Cyclisme) will finally turn professional at Arkéa-B&B Hotels in 2025. Announced within the CIC U Nantes Atlantique team, he finally committed to the Breton WorldTour. He is the 27th runner for the Arkéa-B & B Hotels team where he will meet his brother, Thibault
A member of the Bourg-en-Bresse Ain Cyclisme team for three seasons, Victor Guernalec (24 years old) finished 3rd in the Kreiz Breizh Elites (2.2) where he placed 2nd in a stage, ahead of Florian Dauphin. In class 2, he also finished 2nd in a stage of the Alpes Isère Tour, beaten by Killian Verschuren.
Victor Guernalec has won seven times in 2024.
“It's a dream for me, since I'm Breton, to sign for a team from my territory and what's more, playing at the UCI World Tour level. It's something very strong. My brother, Thibault, has been a professional with this team since 2018. I have been following Emmanuel Hubert's team since 2010. I went to see her when she raced at Châteaulin. I have seen this training evolve over the years, and when I was younger I was part of the training cycle of this team. Everything connects me to ARKEA-B&B HOTELS, in fact. And this winter this opportunity to join presented itself to me,” confides Victor Guernalec in his team’s press release.
