The general assembly of the FFC to elect the president of the French Cycling Federation will take place on December 14 at the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines velodrome. But the president will not be known the same day.
Indeed, the vote will take place electronically, including for voters present at the AGM on December 14.
The votes will take place in two stages. The first ballot, which will designate the President, will begin on the 14th and end on Tuesday, December 17 at 9:00 a.m. The result will be announced at noon. As there are only two candidates (Teodoro Bartuccio and Michel Callot), there will be no need for a second round.
The second vote will elect the Executive Bureau and the Federal Council between December 17 at 3:00 p.m. and December 21 at 9:00 a.m. The results will be announced at noon the same day.
To respect the law “aiming to democratize sport” you March 2, 2022 (read here) five electoral bodies will vote:
-delegates from regional and departmental committees. This November 16 was the last day to transmit their names to the FFC.
-designated club representatives (one representative per club). This November 16 was the last day to transmit their names to the FFC.
-referees: all referees licensed as of November 16, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. in the regional, national, federal national Elite, or international referee category. They vote for two representatives in the Federal Council.
-trainers licensed on November 16, 2024 at 11:59 p.m., holders of a license with the mention “Supervision” and holders of at least the federal educator diploma. They vote for two representatives in the Federal Council.
-High-level athletes’ commission: the members elected to this commission.
A licensee can find himself in several electoral bodies and vote in each of his bodies. The FFC takes the example of a club president who would also be a regional delegate and referee.
