A national sports celebration
Au Parisianthe head of state revealed that he wanted to establish a “national sports festival”, modeled on the music festival on June 21. The event would take place every September 14.

“We must come together around a popular sports festival, which takes place in the streets, schools, dedicated sports complexes. In our cities, our villages, our neighborhoods,” believes the President of the Republic. “I want the French everywhere to indulge in their sport through demonstrations, competitions, with young and old. This will allow us to restart, for the start of the school year, the practice of sport on a daily basis,” considers Emmanuel Macron.
A decorative order
Another announcement from the tenant of the Élysée: the creation of a specific decorative order, while the athletes who won medals at the Paris 2024 Games will already receive the Legion of Honor and the National Order of Merit on Saturday, September 14 at the end of the parade on the Champs-Élysées.
