The general assembly of the Guidon lafrançaisain, grouped under the federal structure Entente Cycliste Nohic/Lafrançaise (ECNL), took place on Tuesday October 29, under the presidency of Henri Lafargue. During this, the main points to remember were the following: in the moral and activity report, secretary Thierry Frutoso mentioned: “Always a good success of the opening Cycling grand prix of the country of Lafrançaise which in was in its 48th edition and which took place on March 17.” There were 144 runners participating and, above all, no incidents to report. The proposed circuit received rave reviews from participants, which is encouraging for the organizing team. In the 2024 prize list, it is worth remembering the victory of the young and promising junior (U 19) Maxence Carrère, from AS Villemur, in front of experienced runners; Victor Leroy (Teyran Bike) and Alexandre Diaz (Béziers Méditerranée Cyclisme) completed the podium. On the financial side, the club mentions a deficit and finds itself obliged to draw on its reserves. In fact, the budget allocated to the security of an online event increases more quickly than revenues. Which leads to thinking about rethinking routes in order to reduce them.

Despite all this, it is known that the 49th edition of the opening cycling grand prix of the country of Lafrançaise will take place on Sunday March 16, 2025. And shortly, the team will begin to prepare for this edition. At the end of the meeting, the club wanted to thank the public and private partners for the financial and logistical assistance. And also the club members and club volunteers from Tarn-et-Garonne who provide essential help without which an organization of this scale would not be possible.
