But the 10th and final stage, run this Sunday, November 3, 2024, was won by the Malian Tiémoko Diamouténé. He crossed the finish line first on Boulevard Thomas Sankara in Ouagadougou ahead of the Dutchman Tom Wijfje and the Burkinabè Daouda Congo of the Central regional team. Tiémoko Diamouténé covered the 119.8km in 2h49min02s, or an average speed of 42.524km/h. An arrival followed in particular by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, in the presence of the President of the ALT and many members of the government.
Despite the stage victory of the Malian Tiémoko Diamouténé, the Moroccan Mohcine El Kouraji retains the leader's yellow jersey and is crowned winner of the Tour du Faso 2024. This is the sixth Moroccan victory in the history of the tour. Mohcine El Kouraji succeeds Burkinabè Paul Daumont, winner in 2023.
In the end, Russia totaled ten stage victories, Morocco three stage victories, Burkina Faso, Belgium, Mali each totaled one stage victory.
The leading trio at the finish of the 10th and final stage of the Tour du Faso
At the end of this 10th and final stage, Mohcine El Kouraji is 32 seconds ahead of his compatriot Driss El Alouani (2nd), also the best young person of the tour, and 37 seconds ahead of his other compatriot, Adil El Arbaoui (3rd). The Cameroonian Abossolo Clovis Kamzong is 4th with 2min42s behind the yellow jersey.
