A great day for the Déjantés 65

Making a perfect copy of this annual sporting event was the objective of the club's members and volunteers with the support of friends. All behind their president Jérôme Marcu to organize this exciting regional classic.

More than 120 runners again crossed the starting line, and left unanimously satisfied with the new course. The refreshment and catering area, installed right in the center of the circuit on the lake site, allowed spectators to follow the different events as required.

On the sporting side, the Déjantés 65 wanted to show that in addition to knowing how to host, they knew how to run because everything started very strongly with the mountain bike race, the qualifying event.

In the end, more than 30 participants, and an indisputable victory for Déjanté David Coulomb, ahead of his friend Julien Soulé, followed by Mathéo Pena (3rd), Hugo Lorenzi (4th) and Jean-Louis Toulet (5th). For the 3rd and 4th category race in which the cadets participated, the story is beautiful. Among the youngest, Julien Castera was untouchable but Hugo Coulomb, to do like dad, took a good 2nd place, followed by his teammate Thibault Chaubet. Already well in sight, the Déjantés 65 were going to stand out again in the 3rd category with the little guy from the village Théo Lancelle who won his first victory, in front of his brother Renaud and in the presence of his family! “A real pride for us to see this youth come to fruition,” confided the president of the club.

Thanking all the partners and supports without whom nothing would be possible, Jérôme Marcus invites as many people as possible to experience the next cyclo-cross of the Déjantés 65 which, this year, illustrated themselves in the best possible way, both on the results and the organization.
