This Friday, the British team Ineos Grenadiers formalized the arrival, from Jayco Alula, of the Australian Lucas Hamilton.
Ineos Grenadiers is strengthening. This Friday, via his account X (ex-Twitter) official, the British cycling team has formalized the arrival of Lucas Hamilton. The climber arrives from the Jayco AlUla team where he spent his entire early career and where he has experienced rather complicated recent seasons, like this year. The Australian, now 28 years old, arrives at this new team in the hope of being able to get back on track. The rider's track record includes the Italian classic Coppi e Bartali, as well as stage victories at Tirreno-Adriatico and the Czech Tour. In the same press release announcing this transfer, Lucas Hamilton was delighted to be able to start a new adventure: “I am very happy to join INEOS Grenadiers. For many years, I observed the team's success from the outside and always had deep respect for their accomplishments. Being part of such a prestigious organization is a fantastic opportunity for me and I look forward to contributing to the team’s continued success. I can’t wait to get started and work alongside my new teammates.”
“Lucas Hamilton showed what he was capable of”
For his part, Scott Drawer, performance director of the same team, also reacted: “Lucas has shown what he is capable of in the past and we believe in his talent and his potential as a cyclist. will integrate well with his fellow cyclists and we are confident that he will respond to the support we are giving him through our new training and performance system. Much of what we are working on is not only strengthening our team, but also anchoring a new approach within the team. Lucas’ experience across a wide variety of races means he fits into an important area for us, where he will also be able to support our impressive generation of young, emerging talent.”
