Cruel outcome for Oscar Nilsson-Julien on the omnium. In the absence of Olympic champion Benjamin Thomas, the young Frenchman (22 years old) almost replaced him on the podium at the Ballerup World Championships in Denmark. Seventh after three events (13th in the scratch, 1st in the tempo race, 11th in the elimination), the native of Kentish Town, in the United Kingdom, nibbled his delay during the points race until settling at provisional third place with 10 laps to cover and a final sprint to go.
