Perfect day for the team Crelan – Corendon this Saturday on the 2nd round of theExact Cross from Essen. Indeed, after the success of Marion Norbert Riberolle in women, Laurens Sweeck won the men’s race, for his first competition of the year.
Duel Sweeck – Vandeputte
As with the women, the race was not very selective and despite numerous accelerations, no one managed to escape. The victory therefore came down to the last lap, where everything was decided. Two men found themselves in the lead, in the presence of Laurens Sweeck (Crelan – Corendon) et Niels Vandeputte (Alpecin-Deceuninck). Et c’est Laurens Sweeck who won during a tense final sprint. Vandeputte took 2nd place, while Jens Adams (Lotto-X-Oats Athletes For Hope) completes the day’s podium.
