Ambitious for next season, the Bron-Terraillon pétanque club is already preparing for a year 2025 which promises to be important.
Also in 2025, French pétanque will be able to count on Bron. European club champion last year, the Rhone club lost Christian Fazzino at the end of last seasondirection Arlanc. This time, it’s a return to sender between the two clubs.
“After 8 years, I’m coming back to my hometown of Lyon, I’m going to play in Bron next season”explains Steeven Chapeland. Vice-champion of France in mixed triplet this year, the young 26-year-old player thus strengthens the Rhone club. “I am leaving Arlanc after six years where I was able to win titles, with incredible moments. »
“We will try to win a new Coupe de France”
A hell of a loss for Arlanc, and a valuable recruit for Bron. In 2025, Steeven Chapeland will team up with Clément Bousquet in a doublet, and with Clément Bousquet and Christophe Sarrio in a triplet. The latter, world champion in 2023, will therefore stay in Bron.
“I thank the Bron club for contacting me”underlines Steeven Chapeland, ambitious and eager to take a new step… with a very specific competition in his sights. “We are going to try to win a new Coupe de France. »
