THE African Championships road cycling began this Monday. And for the first of these 5 days of competition in Kenya, the time trial events took place. In the urban circuit around the town of Eldoret, it is the Ugandan Charles Kagimu who completed the 33.8km course the fastest among men, his second consecutive title in the discipline. For women, it’s the South African Lucy Young which emerged for the first time.
