The Tour of Limousin-Périgord-New Aquitaine was the last test of Lenny Martinez under the colors of the Groupama-FDJ. The future runner of the Bahrain-Victorious announced this Friday that it would end its season after a fall in training. This year will be a mixed season for the 21-year-old rider. After a fantastic start to the season, marked by 5 victories, and top 10 finishes in WorldTour races (Strade Bianche, Tour of Romandy, Tour of Catalonia), Martinez participated against all expectations in his first Tour de Francein total anonymity, without succeeding in performing again since.

“It’s time to take some rest.”
“Due to a fall in training, my team and I decided to stop the season and not take part in the Italian classics. It’s time to take some rest now to prepare for a great season to come.” wrote the young climber on his Instagram. The Cannes native should now rest to recover as best as possible before joining his new team in 2025.
