Are you going? – And between 8,000 and 10,000 people are expected to parade on the most beautiful avenue in the world. A giant parade that is a victim of its own success because all the places were gone in an hour according to the organizers.

They made us vibrate, scream, cry all summer long and Saturday will be the occasion to thank them and celebrate them. Them? The athletes of the Olympic and Paralympic Games of course, but also the volunteers, city hall or prefecture agents: in total, there will be between 8,000 and 10,000 parading on the legendary Avenue des Champs Elysées in Paris for “The Champions’ Parade”. More than 70,000 spectators are expected for a parade that promises to be exceptional and which will be followed by a big concert on Place de l’Étoile.

A giant parade and a 300-meter-long podium

President Emmanuel Macron had announced this parade during the Olympic Games, and explained its objective: “The president wanted a collective moment,” the Elysée specified during a press conference.

The giant parade will go up the Avenue des Champs Elysées from 4 to 6 p.m., then it is on a huge 300-meter long podium that the Olympic and Paralympic medalists will be decorated in the open air by Emmanuel Macron, as was the case after the Tokyo Games.
