The French delegation at the Paralympic Games won its 75th medal on Sunday, thanks to the performance of paddler Nelia Barbosa, who came second in the 200m event in the Vaires-sur-Marne pool. Thanks to this new podium, Team France has consolidated its position in the medal table, to reach the Top 8 hoped for at home.

And 75! The French delegation at the Paralympic Games won its final medal on Sunday, September 8, thanks to the performance of paddler Nelia Barbosa, who came second in the 200m event in the Vaires-sur-Marne pool.

Team France is therefore ranked eighth in the general ranking thanks to its 19 gold, 28 silver and 28 bronze medals. This was the objective that the para athletes had set for themselves before the start of the Games. A good performance that they will be able to celebrate during the closing ceremony on Sunday evening at the Stade de France.

The French delegation won its final podium in KL3, a category intended for paddlers with problems with the functioning of a leg, a foot, or even those who do not have one of these limbs. Nelia Barbosa, 25, took second place in the 200m. The Lisbon native thus won a second Paralympic medal, after the silver, already obtained in Tokyo three years ago in this discipline.
