As such, the fight against Covid-19 remains an important issue: the virus remains unpredictable1 and certain vulnerable populations remain particularly fragile in the face of it2.

To continue to protect them, it is important to maintain our vigilance and adopt the right prevention reflexes: barrier gestures, vaccination, etc. It is in this context that the health authorities have initiated a national spring vaccination campaign from April 15 to June 16, 2024, aimed at people most at risk of developing a serious form of the disease.3

  • people aged 80 or over;
  • immunocompromised patients, regardless of age;
  • residents of residential care facilities for dependent elderly people and long-term care units, regardless of their age.
  • any person at very high risk according to each individual medical situation and within the framework of a medical decision shared with the healthcare team.

At a time when a large part of the French seem to have trivialized the disease and its consequences4we all have a role to play in participating in the collective effort to protect the most vulnerable populations.

In the event of symptoms, it is important that people at risk can be tested, and if the test is positive, consult a health professional without delay.

Together, let’s stay vigilant against covid-19.
