It’s a reality, Covid-19 still exists… Even if the whole world has managed to confront it with great difficulty, it is still at the forefront. Unfortunately, the cognitive after-effects can continue for up to a year. MCE TV tells you everything from A to Z.

Covid-19: a subject that remains as heated as ever

Even in 2024, Covid-19 is still present. Our colleagues from La Provence have unveiled a new study which relaunches the theories of vaccine conspiracy.

This investigation shows that the virus against Covid-19 would have serious consequences about the people who did it. “ Heart problems linked to anti-Covid messenger RNA vaccines, that is to say those from Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech, give rise to few complications in the 18 months following their appearance, shows a study published this Monday. , declares La Provence.

Our colleagues from La Provence point out that the Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine can cause inflammation of the heart muscle. But this would only concern “ hundreds of people for tens of millions of vaccines.”

The researchers talk about the evolution of “ 5,000 myocarditis resulting in hospitalization in between the end of 2020 and mid-2022. Only a minority of these cases – around 550 – were linked to vaccination. Others – around 300 – are associated with Covid itself, which can also promote heart problems.”

This summer, several cases of Covid-19 were diagnosed. Which shows that Covid-19 is very tenacious. So five years after the 2020 pandemic, experts have studied all aftereffects of coronavirus.

They looked at all its forms and under all its variants.

Very stubborn cognitive after-effects

Two studies appearing in the journals The Lancet and Nature Medicine show that the cognitive abilities of affected patients were very impacted. And this, until a year after infection.

This mainly affects older people. Our Capitale colleagues mention that “ one of the two case studies involved 34 healthy young people who had been affected by Covid-19 in the previous months, while the second targeted 106 people aged 54 on average. »

In both cases, the experts are firm! They highlight a long impaired cognitive abilities. This is therefore linked to the infection.

“The infection can cause prolonged cognitive after-effects, even mild ones, most likely.“, said Mahmoud Zureik, professor of epidemiology. And from public health at the University of -Saint-Quentin, to our colleagues.

“Covid-19 is not always a ‘one shot’ that we get rid of completely“, he said. Thus, the after-effects in question would result in a notable decline in cognitive performance.

In both studies, the researchers also revealed atrophy of part of the nervous system. This is equipped with the bodies of neurons. Which means she is responsible attention, memory etc…
