Alarming figures, bulletin after bulletin. Wednesday October 2, Public Health France is once again warning of the increase in the number of positive Covid-19 cases since September 2024. Consequently, an autumn vaccination campaign is being organized by the health authorities, recalls actu.fr. It will take place in France from October 15 to January 31, at the same time as the flu vaccination campaign.
This vaccination campaign against Covid-19 targets people aged 65 in particular, but not only. It is also strongly recommended that people at risk of developing serious forms of Covid-19 be vaccinated, in order to be immunized against the virus, insist the health authorities.
Pregnant women and immunocompromised people also targeted
Among the profiles of people at risk concerned are infants from 6 months of age, children, adolescents and adults with comorbidities having a higher risk of severe form of the disease but also pregnant women and immunocompromised people. Health authorities also recommend that people living in close proximity or in regular contact with immunocompromised or vulnerable people be vaccinated. As a reminder, vaccination is 100% covered for everyone.
