The wheelchair basketball final and the men’s +107 kg weightlifting competition offered the last medals of the 2024 Paralympic Games. The final medal table is now known. China is far ahead of the podium, completed by Great Britain and the United States. France finished eighth and achieved its objective.
The Paralympic Games have delivered their verdict with the end of the last wheelchair basketball and weightlifting events. Unsurprisingly, China dominates the medal standings with 220 medals, including 94 gold, almost double that of its runner-up, Great Britain (124 medals, including 49 gold). The United States completes the podium.
France ranks eighth with a record haul since the Athens Games in 2004: 75 medals won during the competition, including 19 gold.
