We contacted her on the eve of her Parisian quintuplet, unprecedented at the Olympia, in January. A place “which ended up intimidating me a little as the dates approached, whereas before, I had the impression that it meant more to others than to me“. It is with this challenge successfully met that Nora Hamzawi will meet her Provençal audience for two dates in Avignon and Marseille this week, and for her return to Aix-en-Provence next fall.
Three cities where, as always, the objective will be to “feel at home” to present her third show. Which, like her predecessors, has no name so as not to lock her into one direction. Because on stage, the former columnist of Daily et France Inter likes to diffuse varied emotions to tell your intimacy, through his own. What emerges is a show full of promise, about which the comedian confided.
In what state of mind did you shape this new show?
I wondered what I would be able to talk about. The world, the future and current events are so scary, it’s hard to laugh. Instead of looking at it, I asked myself how these anxieties play on our intimacy, as if to better reclaim the little things of everyday life. Because in the end, no matter what happens, we will always end up taking out the trash and doing the dishes. This is how education, love, the couple, the perception we have of ourselves, have become a laboratory for talking about the world, in a sort of ode to joy.
