Lee Sian from “Single's Inferno” season 4 accused by her agency of breaching her contract – K-GEN

Lee Sian is being sued by her agency.

Today a model, Lee Sian is well known in the K-POP world since she notably participated in the survivals “Idol School” and “PRODUCE 48” on Mnet. For those who remember, it was also part of the iconic “Rumor” in PRODUCE 48.

From now on, we find her on television since she is one of the key figures in the fourth season of “Single's Inferno” which has just started on NETFLIX.

On January 21, Leaders Entertainment then filed a lawsuit against Lee Sian for breach of contract. The company said Lee Sian had clearly violated both its exclusivity contract and additional terms agreed with the agency, and announced it would take legal action.

As she gains great popularity online following the launch of the new season of the show, she finds herself in battle with her own agency.

According to the explanations given by the agency, Leaders Entertainment began managing Lee Sian's career in August 2023, providing him with full support. In April 2024, after Lee Sian began filming season 4 of “Single's Inferno”, the agency extended his exclusive contract with an amendment. Originally, the contract was due to expire in October 2023, but it would have been extended by 18 months, until April 2025. The extension was validated after in-depth discussions between Lee Sian, his parents and the agency.

However, and if we are to believe the agency's words, after filming season 4 of “Single's Inferno”, Lee Sian would have suddenly informed the agency through her representative that she would not be active only until October 21. Leaders Entertainment fiercely opposed this and claimed that its actions violated both the exclusivity contract and the extension agreement. They argued that Lee Sian's allegations regarding the contract were baseless, pointing out that all contracts related to the show were signed on behalf of the agency, with its written consent and practical agreement.

Leaders Entertainment also clarified that they supported his participation in Season 4 of “Single's Inferno” because they believed it would provide him with a valuable growth opportunity. They now accuse him of having ignored the contract and of having unilaterally announced his decision to stop his activities, accusing him of having deceived both the agency and the production team of the show.

In response to these statements, NETFLIX stated on January 21 that they were unable to confirm details regarding the matter, as it is a personal matter involving the participant and her agency.
