The fire spares no building. Several Hollywood personalities have seen their homes go up in smoke in recent days. This is what happened to Laeticia Hallyday, owner of a villa in the residential area of Pacific Palisades. At midday, the widow of rocker Johnny Hallyday announced the sad news to her fans on Instagram.
“We lost everything… There’s nothing left. I saw our house burn to the ground, helpless in the face of the flames which took everything away”wrote Laeticia Hallyday, in a publication showing the flames out of control. “This video haunts my heart”she adds.
It is in this house that the Hallyday family was rebuilt after the singer’s death. “It was our refuge, our rebirth after the chaos of mourning. It was between these walls that we healed our wounds, that we learned to live with absence, to rebuild days lit by love despite the shadow of loss It sheltered our dreams, our secrets, our promises for tomorrow But above all, it helped us to get back up, to rebuild ourselves after the unimaginable absence of my husband… and with it,. a part of my soul”writes Laeticia Hallyday.
-Unfortunately, she is not the only one to have seen a part of her life disappear in a few seconds: “I think of my neighbors, of my friends, of those who lost everything, of this village of Pacific Palisades that we loved so much for 17 years and which gave us so much.”
