“I found it quite discourteous…”: Jean-Pierre Foucault regrets having invited this music star to Sacré soir

Frankly, I regretted, not what happened on the set, but having invited him”, Jean-Pierre Foucault quickly announced during his visit. According to him, before the recording of an episode of Sacred Evening during which he received Juliette Gréco, the host had done everything possible to invite Miles Davis – with whom the French actress was in love. Thus taking care of everything to surprise his guest. But now, if during the recording, Juliette Gréco was delighted to find Miles Davis, this was not the case for Jean-Pierre Foucault. Because when he asked the musician to play a few notes, the latter categorically refused. A refusal which deeply disappointed the host. “I found it quite discourteous…”, he continued.

This remark made by Miles Davis which left its mark on Jean-Pierre Foucault

According to him, when Jean-Pierre Foucault asked Miles Davis to play a few notes, the latter simply blew his trumpet, thus rebuffing his request. And after refusing to play, the musician then informed him: “Do you know how much a Miles Davis concert costs?” A remark which really annoyed the host…
