After Wolfs et F1Brad Pitt will collaborate once again with this controversial director, in his new film Heart of the Beast.
After the enormous failure of Babylondirected by Damien Chazelle, Brad Pitt is back on track on Apple TV+. He produced and starred in Wolfsthe action comedy starring George Clooney. Presented out of competition at the last Venice Film Festival, the film became the most watched feature film on the platform. This year, the actor Fight Club et Ad Astra will play in F1still for Apple, before finding a filmmaker for whom he has not acted for more than 10 years.
Heart of the (Brad) Pitt
Indeed, according to an article in Deadline, the American actor and producer will star in Heart of the Beastthe new film directed by David Ayer. We are talking about the director of the sympathetic Bad Times (2005) and MUCH less likeable ones Suicide Squad (2016) et Bright (2017). The filmmaker has already collaborated with Brad Pitt for the film Furywhich was rather well received when it was released in 2014 (76% on Rotten Tomatoes211 million in worldwide revenue for a production budget of 68 million).
-Heart of the Beast will be made for Paramount and produced by Plan B Entertainment (Brad Pitt’s company), but also by Wild Chickens Productions (that of Damien Chazelle and Olivia Hamilton), Crave Films (David Ayer) and Temple Hill Entertainment. The screenplay is by Cameron Alexander, who has directed a few music videos (notably for Polyphia and Max Styler) and who will also serve as executive producer.
The feature film will tell the story of a former Navy SEAL and his fighting dog, who following a plane crash in the heart of Alaska, will have to fight to survive. While waiting to know more, let us remember that F1Brad Pitt’s next baby, will be released in our French cinemas on June 25. The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski (Tron Legacy, Top Gun: Maverick) and brings together Damson Idris and Javier Bardem in its cast.
