Vincent Lindon is starring in “Playing with Fire”, he is also preparing to reveal an intimate and moving side of his life in “Bloody Heart”, a documentary which will be broadcast on January 29 on the YouTube channel of Arte. True to his unfiltered style, the actor discusses a delicate subject: his own death, which he meticulously anticipated.
The magazine “Gala”, in its edition of January 23, 2025, reveals extracts. Vincent Lindon talks about his mother, Alix Dufaure, a journalist whom he “loved to death”, but also about his father, who suffered from cerebellar degeneration. He confides: “He died eleven years before his death.”
These family tragedies, to which is added the death of his brother Sylvain at age 59 in 2022, seem to have shaped his relationship with finitude. Father of two children, Marcel (born in 1996) and Suzanne (born in 2000, fruit of his relationship with Sandrine Kiberlain), Vincent Lindon, suffering from Gilles de la Tourette syndrome, has everything planned for his own departure. “Gala” tells us that he is on “the 55th version of his will” and that he even suggested to his loved ones to use “his vocal pellets on the day of his funeral”. “He even thought of music, moving to perfection, so that we would cry for him until we cried no more,” reports the magazine.
