What will the 2025 Caesars look like? The 50th ceremony will be held on Friday February 28 at the Olympia, and this high mass of French cinema will be broadcast live and unencrypted on Canal+ from 9 p.m. The encrypted channel has just announced this Friday, January 24 on social networks that the presentation of the show would be collegial, like the two previous years. We have to go back to 2022 for a personality to have agreed to host this format solo. At that time, the production had placed its trust in Antoine de Caunes, who was experienced in the exercise.
Thirteen personalities of the seventh art at the helm
But in 2025, there will be thirteen masters of ceremonies. Director Jean-Pascal Zadi will direct this great evening alongside actresses Emmanuelle Béart, Alice Belaïdi, Cécile de France, Hafsia Herzi, Vimala Pons and Ludivine Sagnier. Several actors also agreed to play the game, namely Bouli Lanners, William Lebghil, Vincent Macaigne, Pio Marmaï, and Raphaël Quenard, César for male breakthrough last year for “Dog of the Scrapyard” by Jean-Baptiste Durand. Finally, Justine Triet, winner of six Césars in 2024 thanks to “Anatomy of a Fall”, will also be there.

As a reminder, the event will be directed by Cédric Klapisch, whose series “Greek Salad” was broadcast several months ago on France 2, and chaired by Catherine Deneuve, who succeeds Valérie Lemercier. The American star Julia Roberts, unforgettable notably in “Pretty Woman” (1990), “Love at First Sight in Notting Hill” (1999) and “Erin Brockovich” (2000), will receive an honorary César, just like the French filmmaker Greek Costa-Gavras.
So who will succeed “Anatomy of a Fall” by Justine Triet, awarded the best feature film prize in the previous edition? The nominations will be revealed on the Academy website on Wednesday January 29, 2025 at 10 a.m. There is no doubt that they will give pride of place to “Emilia Pérez” by Jacques Audiard, which, across the Atlantic, dominated the Oscar nominations announced Thursday January 23.
