Sarah Michelle Gellar thinks she would need ‘a lot of plastic surgery’ to play Buffy again

Sarah Michelle Gellar doesn’t think she could play Buffy again even if a reboot sees the light of day.
The 47-year-old actress played the famous vampire hunter in the eponymous series between 1997 and 2003 and she does not see herself taking up the torch.
She told WHO magazine: “I would need a lot of plastic surgery because I don’t think I look like a teenager. I don’t know if I would approach the role differently. Buffy is such a beautiful character .That’ll never change, but I think they’ll take someone younger if she comes back. But if people think I can still save the world and kick ass, I’m OK with that!
As for what Buffy would be doing today, Sarah thinks the character would lead a good life despite her turbulent youth.
The actress added: “I get asked this question a lot, but I’m still not sure. I like to think that she’s living a good life, a peaceful life, without having to do all the killing that she used to do. But I’m happy with the way we ended things with Buffy. I loved playing that role and I’m proud of what she stood for, what she still stands for. She wasn’t just the token girlfriend or wife – all things we take for granted in film and television today I feel like Buffy contributed to positive change.”
