Richard Gere settled in Spain, where his wife, Alejandra Silva, is from.

The star of Pretty Woman and his wife took stock with ELLE Spain about their situation since they left Connecticut to settle in Spain.
“The truth is that you see us in a state of grace. We are happier than ever,” said Richard Gere in this joint interview with Alejandra Silva.
And the actorAmerican Gigolo assures that their happiness is due to their life in Spain. “She, because she is at home, has never been happier, and me because, if she is happy, I am happy,” he explains.

The couple met in 2014 and have two sons, Alexander, five, and James, four. Richard Gere is also father to Homer, 24, from his marriage to Carey Lowell, while Alejandra Silva has an 11-year-old son, Albert, from a previous union.
The mother-of-three explained how the family moved to Spain after selling their sprawling American home. She also gives some clues about their family ritual.
“Richard is a very devoted and present father. He loves reading them stories. This seems like an idyllic photo, but it’s true. He’s a great father. He doesn’t cook. I do it, but when I cook, he plays the guitar,” Alejandra Silva said of the man who has been her husband of almost seven years.
