On the verge of bowing out on stage with three final concerts at the Palais des Congrès on January 24, 25 and 26, she confides in Point of view in an exclusive interview. “My job has certainly “eaten me”, but my family has always remained my priority. I have been able to do both at the same time, in particular thanks to the unwavering support of my adorable parents. Today, I will be able to do even more “taking care of David and Darina, my children, and my grandchildren Ilona, Emma and Cameron.”
In this family symphony, his son, David Hallyday, occupies a special place. “With my son, we share a love of music,” she says with palpable tenderness. And for his last steps on stage, he could not be absent: “Obviously, my son will be present during the last one. It could not be otherwise.”
His granddaughters, for their part, embody the bright facets of his life: “They are sentimental, balanced, and yet so different. One (editor’s note : Ilona, 29 years old), already a mother, is flourishing in her motherhood, while the other (editor’s note : Emma, 27 years old) is preparing her wedding with boundless energy.” This wedding, awaited with immense joy, promises to be a significant family event, full of celebrations and emotions.
-Finally, still single and looking for the ideal man, her daughter Darina, 27, whom she adopted in Bulgaria with American producer Tony Scott, shares with her a vibrant modernity. “She recently introduced me to Dirty Dancing. It was great, full of nostalgia and energy.”
Beyond confidences, Sylvie Vartan reveals a true sacred fire: that of transmission, music and memories. A life where the flashes of the stage mingle with the sweetness of family moments to discover in your Point of view from Wednesday January 22.
