The funeral of Bertrand Blier, who died at the age of 85, will be held at the Saint-Roch church in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. They will take place on Wednesday January 29, 2025. The director will then be buried in the Montmartre cemetery, in the 18th arrondissement.

Considered one of the great directors of the 1970s and 1980s, he is known for having cast Gérard Depardieu on numerous occasions, notably in his feature film The Valseuses in 1974. Exceptional Convoy is his last film, released in 2019.
