Audrey Lefevre has seen many American heads of state parade. Interviewed in the show “Legend”, she returns to the case of Donald Trump and his family.

Her name is Audrey Lefevre. She is 44 years old. She is French and she does makeup for presidents, from Bill Clinton to Joe Biden but also the Trumps behind the scenes at the White House. Last November, she was a guest on the show Legend.

We discover the journey of this former dancer-singer from , who worked as a model in for around ten years. After following her partner to the United States and being recruited by a makeup artist agency called Glamsquad, she found herself doing makeup for the Trump family for the 2017 inauguration. She started with Donald Trump Jr and his wife at the heart of Blair. House. “I discovered a very determined family.” The second day, she continued and applied makeup to a few more members, including Ivanka Trump. The President and the First Lady are in the same room, managed by another makeup artist. She remembers a man who “comes [les] thank you for [leur] work. This contrasts with the image sent by the media,” confides Audrey Lefevre.

Guillaume Play, who interviewed him, then asked him: “What always comes up on Donald Trump's makeup is orange. It is very orange. For what ?”. “It’s a question I’ve had a lot,” Audrey responds. In my opinion as a makeup artist, you can see in many photos and on that there is a big demarcation here (she points to the forehead) and on the side it is very white. This is someone who has very light skin, almost albino. He has a lot of redness on his face and a lot of burst blood vessels and I think he wants to cover it up. The redness isn't very nice, it doesn't look good on the screen and it's this tanned side which is perhaps more appreciable than seeing these color differences. » . To our colleagues at 20 minutesshe wants to clarify: “It’s important to say it: no makeup artist is responsible for that! I'm not trying to defend us, but Donald Trump wears self-tanner. “. And when the journalist from Legend asks her if she has ever tried to make it change its color, she replies: “No, it’s always the same orange” she admits, laughing.

His work is appreciated since Ivanka, Donald Trump's daughter, then offers to come work for her but by signing a confidentiality clause. And requires his entire team to be ready at 6 a.m. A collaboration that will last eight months. “I was paid a pittance: $150 for makeup.”

Whether they are close to the presidents or the latter (she says of Bill Clinton that he has “a very red nose and cheekbones” and of Joe Biden “that he has very dry skin”), Audrey Lefevre therefore has more than one anecdote to tell, she who works behind the scenes where the big decisions are often played out.
