But for last Christmas, Faustine Bollaert didn’t have to look very far. The host and presenter of It starts today was based on a new passion developed by her husband, Maxime Chattam, to please her. This Saturday January 18, the writer was invited on Europe 1 in The Table of Good Living. He told Laurent Mariotte that he recently fell in love with cooking. “Six months ago, you would have asked me, I would have said: ‘I love to eat but I can’t cook two things except pasta.’ And for three months, I have been spending my life in the kitchen! I discovered a new passion, there were lots of things happening in my life at that time. And so I dedicate myself as soon as I can, a whole hour at least, quietly, I turn off the phone, I put on some music and then I rub my hands. My wife even gave me an apron to cook with for Christmas.”

Maxime Chattam changed his habits thanks to this new passion

Dressed in his most beautiful apron, Maxime Chattam can now live a completely different life. “Before, I wrote and I said to myself: ‘I don’t have time’. So I would go downstairs, buy some ready-made meals, put them in the microwave and eat them thoroughly in front of my computer while working. Today, I take a little more time, I cook, so I know what I use and what I don’t want to use. I balance my dish. And then, even if it’s just practicing, touching, that in itself is a little satiating.”he noticed.

What does Maxime Chattam prefer to cook for his family?

The writer’s new passion is also a way to spend time with family. Maxime Chattam says he wants to try to make sand roses for his children to make them experience what he considers to be “the taste of [son] childhood”.
