United States: Donald Trump’s new team
The figures appointed to key positions promise a turbulent new mandate.
(FRANCE 2)

The figures appointed to key positions promise a turbulent new mandate.

Varied, eccentric and controversial profiles. Donald Trump, who is to be inaugurated on Monday January 20, has formed for his new mandate a non-conformist team, flashy and ready for any provocation. Alongside the president-elect, Elon Musk will serve as an unofficial vice president. The two men no longer leave each other and the influence of the boss of Tesla and SpaceX goes beyond the mission of government efficiency which has been entrusted to him.

At the Department of Defense, Donald Trump appointed Pete Hegseth, a former soldier who served in Iraq and Afghanistan before becoming a Fox News anchor. He is known for his live prayers, ammo brand advice, and controversial stances.

Tulsi Gabbard, an elected official known to be close to the Russians, was chosen to head intelligence. Kash Patel, a former openly conspiratorial magistrate, was appointed head of the FBI. Finally, Robert Francis Kennedy Junior, known for his anti-vaccine positions, will be at Health.
