The worlds of cooking and television are losing a big name. Jean-Luc Petitrenaud died at the age of 74, on January 10, 2025. And for his funeral, on January 17, 2025 in Paris, many personalities like Cyril Lignac or Denis Brogniart was at mass.
It was held in the 7th arrondissement of the capital, in the Saint-Pierre du Gros Caillou church. And we met the singer Philippe Lavil, the ex-rugby player Fabien Galthié but also Véronique de Villèle, who already lost her great friend Alain Delon a few months ago.
Tribute to Jean-Luc Petitrenaud
Everyone who loved the man and his shows was there. During his career as a culinary journalist, Jean-Luc Petitrenaud presented “Gourmet postcard“ on the public television channel France 5 from 2000 to 2006. But also and above all “The escapades of Petitrenaud“ from 2006.

A few days ago, the latter had written a beautiful message in memory of Jean-Luc Petitrenaud, on the Web.
On Instagram, he wrote: “How sad my friend! How I loved our long lunches, our laughs, your joy of living!”
In addition, the leader also remembered: “Our trip home to Aveyron with my parents was so good! And your expression that made me laugh when you said I’ll follow suit! We will miss you”.

Denis Brogniart also left a dedication to the journalist. On the Web, he admitted: “How sad to learn of the death of Jean-Luc Petitrenaud… this gastronomic critic was a unique storyteller, an enjoyer of life, a man of great tenderness who with a word, a sound of his mouth, a lyrical flight made you hungry and took you with him to the kitchen.”
Speaking directly to the man, he revealed: “You are one of my very nice encounters. You never hesitated to recommend a place for dinner! I will never forget our exchanges, your dress elegance, your humor, this magical dinner in Porquerolles… and these moments when you made me taste a good little-known wine”.
