If you were born in the 1990s you probably collected Diddl scented writing paper. In the playground the little Diddl mice were everywhere: school bags, notebooks, pens… Created in 1990 by the German illustrator Thomas Goletz, products bearing the image of the rodent were successful in France until the 1990s. 2000, before disappearing in 2010.

The mice should return to France in October 2025 in a selection of partner stores and on an online store. This is the announcement that was made this Thursday, January 16 at the Maison et Objets show in Paris by the company Kontiki, which distributes famous brands, licenses and cultural products. “Relaunching Diddl in France is an adventure that is particularly close to our hearts. This timeless brand has left its mark on millions of French people, and we are proud to support it in this new stage of its history. We want to bring together fans from the beginning and give them the opportunity to pass on this tender and colorful universe to a new generation. Diddl is much more than a mouse: it is an intergenerational link,” declared Pierre-Marin Calemard, Managing Director of Kontiki.
The new collection, called “Diddl is back”, should include everything we could dream of: stuffed animals to put on our bags, glosses, writing products and above all… stationery. Enough to continue our superb collection of Diddl sheets which have been lying around in binders for ages.
