Anne, 53, scammed by a fake Brad Pitt, confides in her scam, a virtual love affair which will cost her 830,000 euros.
Following a report by Sept à Huit on TF1, on social networks, we are witnessing an outpouring of hatred: “Good for her face, she left her husband and destroyed her family for Brad Pitt”, “She’s not really the lady!! No, but seriously!!”
Simple users but also larger accounts spoke out, such as Netflix or the Toulouse Football Club, before changing their minds and deleting their posts. Online harassment that some condemn: “Before making fun of her, you have to put yourself in her place, because it can happen to anyone, at any age“, says a young girl. “I think that’s not happening, we should be compassionate towards her”judges a Reunion Islander.
In the law, harassment is characterized as soon as the moral or physical living conditions of the person concerned deteriorate. Online, just one message can be considered harassment.
“Even if the comments are only made once, if there is a pack effect and you make fun of one person once but several people also do it once, you can be prosecuted. And when the harassment takes place on social networks the penalty increases to 2 years in prison and a fine of 30,000″indicates Maître Annie Khayat-Tissier.
Brad Pitt has spoken out about this scam and calls on his fans to remain vigilant.
